To enjoy the benefits of a large range of products and services the legislation requires you to be a member. This is the very essence of a co-operative.
In addition it is also a requirement in the rules that have been registered for the TFP Co-operative that membership is only available to FBAA members.
Accordingly to comply with regulations and the rules established for the TFP Co-operative it is necessary that membership is applied for and compliance is verified. A copy of the rules are available on this web site.

With a growing number of suppliers across many services from Home Loans to Fuel We will be adding more and more to the panel over the coming months. The Co-operative has been inundated with many potential suppliers. To ensure that only quality products are made available to members, a diligent and careful vetting process has been implemented. You will find that as time goes on more and more suppliers will be introduced to this web for access by members. The intention is to provide as wide a range of product and service for our members to on sell to their customers or to obtain meaning full discount from for their own use. The Co-operative is ideally looking to offer two suppliers in each category which will provide members with choice.

The Board has been able to keep this a low as possible, currently $100 per year. This will give you access to a wide range of products and services. These will be products that many of you will not have access to for sale in your normal day to day business. The chances are you will be able to recoup this minimal cost and generate substantial extra income for your business by selling products not normally available to the average FBAA member.
This fee will help defray the administrative and development costs associated with the Co-operative and as outlined above it is a legal requirement that services be provided to registered members only.

It is the intention that the services and products provided by the Co-operative actually enhance the portfolio of products and services normally provided by FBAA members to their customers. Not only will this provide additional income for FBAA members but also a good reason for remaining an FBAA member. As a Co-op member the potential to earn extra income could also generate enough income to cover the cost of your FBAA membership. In fact it could be substantially more. This is an extra reason for being an FBAA member.

The simple answer is no. There are no volume hurdles associated with Co-op membership requirements. The simple fact however is the more a member utilises the products and services the more they will make out of it. As time goes on there will be more opportunity to do this as the range of product and services increases.

If you require assistance with your registration please e-mail the Co-op on phone 07 3397 9998 for assistance.

It is important for only members to have access to the services and Products available from The Co-operative. There would be no purpose to being a member if this were not the case.

In due course there will be an option to link a member’s web site to the Co-operative web which will enable members’ customers to access some products and services without the involvement of the Member. This will provide some increased income for a member without you even being involved in the transaction. In Addition Members will be able to offer added value to their customers with access to discount purchases etc.
This will take time to establish as work is required on a technical front and several administrative and legal hurdles need to be overcome to achieve this.

It is intended that customers will be able to view products and services available on the web site but not access them. For example loan Products. They will be requested to register their interest in the product and this will be referred to a member in their area. Free of charge and without strings attached.

The simple answer is no. The Co-op is not intended to compete with aggregators. The Co-op is not designed to offer loan products from all banks and it is intended that access to a limited number of “boutique” loan products will be offered to members. In contrast the Co-operative will offer a range of products and services not normally available through Aggregators.
